It's Time for Another Sketch!

Today I am sharing a fabulous sketch that Laura created for Stuck?! Sketches

As soon as I saw it I knew exactly which paper I wanted to use to fussy cut the flowers. This has been done before, but I still wanted to do it and I love the end result!

Fussy cutting these flowers and then stitching them did take me several hours, but I love doing it so I don't mind it at all. My wrist did hurt a bit afterwards...this is the biggest hand stitching project I've done since spraining it, but the pain was oh so worth it :)

Everything is from Paige Evan's "Oh My Heart" collection with the exception of the enamel dots, the butterflies, and the chipboard "Hello".

To make sure that the journaling was legible, I adhered the strips close together. Another option was to paint white acrylic paint or gesso over the area, but I wasn't in the mood to get my hands dirty and this worked just fine.

We'd love for you to play along with this sketch. If you do, please be sure and link your project up to the site. You'll have a chance to win a prize from one of these two sponsors this month.

Here's a link to my process video if you'd like to take a peek at how the page came together. Thanks so much and have a great day!

    1. Hi Jen! Thanks so much :) The glue that I used is called Zip Dry. I do like it and was using it because I was unclogging my fine line bottle. The only drawback that I have found is that the glue is a bit thicker and it will string like hot glue. However, it is awesome for sticking things down. You can find it at Michael's but not in the scrapbooking section. It is usually with the other craft adhesives. HTH!
